St Margaret's is a unique school providing an education for 3 - 11 year olds in a unique ethos. This ethos is described in our vision : delivering for the future -
Vision: ‘Care, challenge and celebrate through Christ...’
This is at the heart of all that we do. This vision is embodied in throughout the work of the whole school; being visible through, and impacting on, our children, the staff, the governors and the wider school community.
Our long term vision is informed by our mission : delivering in the now -
Mission: Therefore choose [life] – educating a community of unique individuals for ‘life in all its fullness’ (BASED ON DEUTERONOMY 30: 19-20, JOHN 10-10.)
Our vision and mission is complemented and influenced by the national Church of England's vision: 'Life in all its fullness: from 'I have come in order that they might have life – life in all its fullness.' John 10:10.
and the Liverpool Diocesan vision: a 'Bigger Church making a Bigger Difference'
Our governing body has reflected upon our vision statement of 'Care, challenge and celebrate with Christ' when it undertook its Review of Governance by an NLG who is Chair of a Church of England school.
As a result of the review, governors wanted to make more explicit the role the school plays in children's future, their aspirations and also their faith journey. As a result they adopted '...where ambition and faith thrive!' to complement the core mission. During the forthcoming year we have been and will continue to unpack what this means with our children. We have held an Aspirations Week in October in which children had visits from different careers; fire service, vets, Bentley mechanics, IT CEOs and also visited places of work and study - Sainsburys, Chester University.
